Subject: Amendment in import policy of ITC (HS) code 71141920 covered under Chapter 71 of ITC (HS), 2022, Schedule - I (Import Policy) - Reg.
S.O.(E): In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 and Section 5 of Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the import policy of ITC (HS) code 71141920 covered under Chapter 71 of ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule - I (Import Policy) with immediate effect :
1. Policy Condition No. 6 of Chapter 71 is introduced as under:
The import of Platinum Articles is 'Restricted'. However, the following categories of Import of Platinum Articles shall be 'Free.'
a) Re-import of Indian origin goods that have been carried for overseas exhibitions or export promotion tours.
b) Re-import of Indian origin goods that are rejected/returned/unsold.
c) Re-import of Indian origin goods intended for repair.
2. The import Policy of the ITCHS Code 71141920 is amended as under:

Effect of the Notification: The Import Policy of items covered under ITC HS Code 71141920 is revised from "Free" to "Restricted", subject to Policy Condition No. 6 of Chapter 71, with immediate effect.
