S.O. 797(E), dated 3-7-2003 - In pursuance of the Central Government Notification bearing No. S.O. 536(E), dated 1-6-2000, issued under sub-section (2) of section 36 of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (42 of 1999) and in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Notification, the persons holding office under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1973 (46 of 1973) as Chief Enforcement Officers, Enforcement Officers and Assistant Enforcement Officers are appointed as "Officers of Enforcement" with effect from the first day of June, 2000 for the purposes of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (42 of 1999).
