S. O. 320(E), dated 4-4-2001, as amended by, SO 472(E), dated 30-4-2000 - In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (2) of section 20 and section 29 of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (42 of 1999), the Chairperson hereby constitutes the following Benches of the Appellate Tribunal, namely:—

(a)    Two single Member Benches one consisting of the Chairperson and the other consisting of a Member, and

(b)    One Division Bench consisting of the Chairperson and the Member.

2. The Division Bench referred to in clause (b) above shall hear only such cases which in opinion of the Chairperson or Member involves substantial question of law or mixed question of law and fact which ought to be decided by the Division Bench. The Chairperson or Member hearing any case irrespective of valuation of the appeal may refer the case for hearing by a Division Bench.
