Subject:- Amendment in
Export Policy of Onions.
S.O. (E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of the Foreign Trade
(Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), as amended, read with
Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-20, the Central Government
hereby makes the following amendment in Notification No. 21/2015-20 dated
29.09.2019 and Notification No. 46/2015-20 dated 06.02.2020 amending the Export
Policy of Onion for the item description at Serial Number 51 & 52 of Chapter 7
of Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export & Import Items, with
effect from 15th March, 2020.

2. Effect of this Notification:
The Export of all varieties of Onions, as described above, has been made “Free" without any condition of Letter of Credit (LC) and Minimum Export Price (MEP), with effect from 15th March, 2020. Accordingly, the Notification No. 46/2015-20 related to export of Krishnapuram Onions also stands withdrawn with effect from 15th March, 2020.
