Subject: Addition of Krishnapatnam port for import and export of sawn timber at SI. No. 181, Chapter 44 of Schedule 2 of ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items.

S.O.(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), as amended, read with Para 1.02 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020, the Central Government hereby makes amendment, with immediate effect, in Chapter 44 of Schedule 2 of ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items.

2. The entry at Point No. (ii) in the Policy Condition against SI. No. 181, Chapter 44 of Schedule 2 of ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items is amended to add Krishnapatnam port to the existing list of 10 ports through which import and export of 'Sawn timber' is permitted.

3. All the existing policy conditions as applicable to other ports shall be applicable to Krishnapatnam port

4. Effect of this Notification:-
Krishnapatnam port is being added to the list of the 10 existing ports, thereby taking the total number of ports to 11, to allow export of 'Sawn timber' made exclusively out of imported wood logs.
