Anti-dumping duty on exemption to Catalysts originating in or imported from Denmark.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9A of the Customs Tariff Act/1975 (51 of 1975), read with rule 18 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, the Central Government, on the basis of the final findings of the designated authority, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part 1, Section 1, dated the 5th January, 1998 that there is dumping in respect of catalysts mentioned in column (2) of the Table annexed hereto and falling under Chapter 38 or Chapter 98 of the First Schedule to the said Act, and originating in or imported from Denmark, hereby imposes on the said catalysts, when imported into India, an anti-dumping duty at the rate specified in the corresponding entry, -

(a) in column (3) of the said Table, where the said catalysts fall under Chapter 38 of the First Schedule to the said Act;

(b) in column (4) of the said Table, where the said catalysts fall under Chapter 98 of the First Schedule to the said Act.

2. The anti-dumping duty imposed under this notification shall be levied with effect from the date of imposition of provisional duty, i.e. 20th June, 1997.
