Notification No. 51/2010-Cus Dated 16/04/2010

Amendment in Notification No. 39/96 – Cus dated 23/07/1996.- G.S.R. 328 (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.39/96 –Customs, dated the 23rd July, 1996, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R.291 (E) dated the 23rd July, 1996, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table, against S.No.14, in Column(3), in the Explanation, for the words, letters and figures, “the 31st day of December, 2009”, the words, letters and figures, “the 1st day of January 2011” shall be substituted.
