Notification No. 104/2006-Cus Dated 5/10/2006

Amendments in the Notification No. 21/2002-Cus-Exemption on Polycarbonates, Bis-phenol A and Epichlorohydrin- G.S.R.    (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 21/2002-Customs, dated the 1^st March, 2002 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R.118 (E), dated the 1^st March, 2002, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table, -

(i)                   after S.No. 480 and the entries relating thereto, the following S.No and the entries shall be added, namely: -

“480A.             3907 40 00              Polycarbonates         5%                   -                      -”;

(ii)                after S.No. 526 and the entries relating thereto, the following S.Nos and the entries shall be added, namely: -

“526 A.            2907 23 00      Bis-phenol A                   Nil                    -                       -

 526 B.            2910 30 00       Epichlorohydrin                  2%                  -                      -”.
