Powers of Central Excise & Customs Officers.- In pursuance of sub-rule (1) of Rule 22 of Central Excise (No. 2) Rules, 2001, I hereby empower all Central Excise & Customs Officers of the rank of Inspector and above to exercise the powers under the said rule within their respective jurisdiction.

2. Further, officers of the rank of Inspector and above posted in the Head Quarter Preventive/Anti Evasion Units of the Commissionerate are empowered to exercise these powers within the jurisdiction of the Commissionerate.
